The investigation into Josh Giddey’s alleged inappropriate relationship with a minor has reportedly run into problems, with the teen and her family refusing to cooperate with the authorities.
According to TMZ, police are keen to speak with the young girl amid accusations of wrongdoing by the Oklahoma City Thunder guard, which flooded social media over the weekend.
Giddey has continued to play for Thunder amid the scandal but the 21-year-old remained tight-lipped when asked about the accusations after practice on Friday.
‘Josh, you went viral over the past couple of days over some pretty serious allegations. I know nothing is concrete there, but is there anything you can say as to that situation?’ a reporter asked
In response, Giddey said: ‘Yeah, I mean I understand the question obviously, but, err, there’s no further comment right now.’
Before Tuesday’s In-Season Tournament game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault also refused to address the allegations.
