Ashwajit Gaikwad, s/o Anilkumar Gaikwad has been accused of mowing down his girlfriend Priya Singh, under his SUV.
Anilkumar Gaikwad was accused of the Rs. 749 cr Maharashtra Sadan Scam, but was reinstated as Joint Managing Director of MSRDC, due to his political connections.
Priya Singh has shared her traumatic experience on her Instagram, but it is highly likely that the son of such a well-connected powerful person, will go scot-free.
In her complaint, Singh said that on Monday, around 4.30am, she reached the Courtyard Hotel to meet Gaikwad, who she claimed is her boyfriend, but he avoided her. When he came out of the hotel, they had an argument on the service road and in a fit of rage, Gaikwad assaulted her and bit her on her hand, the police said, quoting her complaint. Later, when Singh went to get her bag and mobile from the SUV, Shelke started the ignition and she fell on the road and he drove over her right leg before speeding away.
Refuting her allegations, Gaikwad said, “Whatever has been portrayed is untrue. She is just a friend. In fact, she came drunk to the hotel where we were having a family function and tried to force me to talk to her. When I refused, she started abusing me. She assaulted my friends when they tried to intervene. Shelke started the SUV so that she steps away, but unfortunately she fell on the road. The accident was not intentional.”
