Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Club statement confirmed Alioune Mané is hospitalized with acute anxiety after he received racist insults from Diego Fuentes who called him a monkey

The letter continues: “The coach told me that a Rayo Cantabria player used racist language towards a Deportivo Fabril player. At the time of these events, both I and my assistants were on the pitch managing the aforementioned confrontation and we did not hear any insults or any expressions of a racist nature.” READ MORE HERE

Always following the referee’s report, he held a meeting in his dressing room with the delegates of both teams, the Fabril goalkeeping coach and the doctor of the Coruña reserve team. In this meeting, David Vidal endorsed the accusation made on the pitch, pointing to Senegalese Alioune Mane  as the player who had received the following insult: “You’re a fucking monkey.”

Mane recovered from the anxiety attack in the hospital and was discharged in the middle of the afternoon.

Late in the afternoon, Deportivo issued an official statement saying that it “strongly condemns the act of racism suffered by our player.” ” This type of behaviour is absolutely unacceptable and has no place in football , sport in general, or in society,” they added in the statement.

The blue and white doctor, Manuel Astray López , then reported that the footballer who was the target of the attack was suffering from “acute anxiety as a result of the racist incident and is going to be transferred to a hospital to receive medical attention, which he confirms with a report, which he has given me signed by himself.”

“Once the meeting was over, and while I was checking my notes with the Deportivo Fabril delegate, he informed me that he had identified Rayo Cantabria ‘s number 11 player ( Diego Fuentes ) as the author of the aforementioned incident,” the minutes conclude.
