Authorities have charged 46-year-old Bessie Thomas in connection with the fatal shooting of 36-year-old Rita Williams at the QuikTrip on Vandeventer. READ MORE HERE
The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office has filed charges of First-Degree Murder, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
According to reports, Thomas and Williams were known to each other, and the incident stemmed from a dispute. Instead of de-escalating, the situation turned deadly.
Thomas is now in custody as the investigation continues. Williams, a mother of four, lost her life in an act of violence that has left a huge void in many hearts.
