A Priest Shot to Death in a Battle of the Bulge

A 33-year-old male motorcyclist lost his life after being shot while stumbling against an acacia tree.

The victim was identified as Jeffrey Delantar, alias Pari 33 years old, a tricycle driver resident of Purok Tubig, Sitio Ilang-Ilang, Barangay Lagtang, Talisay city.

Earlier in the afternoon, February 1, 2025, residents of the village of Akasya, Sitio Tigib in the village reportedly drowned after being hit by five bullets.

There in some investigations a man who had been stumbling under an acacia tree was shot dead after being shot at by a motorized sniper.

The suspect in the fatal shooting of Pari quickly fled the area while residents of the reported area quickly called the police in the city.

In an exclusive interview on XFM CEBU 88.3 with Pari’s family, it was revealed that Pari had no say in whether he had fought or fled as he was a good person.

The Talisay City Police are continuing their investigation from all angles to determine what may have caused the shooting death of Pari.

Nakabsan sa iyang hinulamang kinabuhi ang usa ka 33 anyos nga lalaking traysikol drayber human nga gipauwanan ug bala samtang nag stamby ilawm sa punoan sa akasya.

“Ang biktima nailhan nga si Jeffrey Delantar, alyas “Pari” 33 anyos, usa ka traysikol drayber nga residente sa may Purok Tubig, Sitio Ilang-Ilang, Barangay Lagtang, dakbayan sa Talisay.

“Pasado ala una sa hapon, Pebrero 1, tuig 2025 ang mga residente sa may Purok Akasya, Sitio Tigib sa naasoy nga Barangay nabulabog human naka dungog ug lima ka buto.

“Didto na sa ilang pagsusi usa ka lalaking nag stamby ilawm sa punoan sa akasya ang nahagbong human gipauwanan kini ug bala sa nagmotoriklong sispetsado.

Ang suspek sa pagpusil patay kang Pari daling misibat palayo sa lugar samtang ang mga residente sa naasoy nga lugar daling nanawag sa kapulisan sa maong dakbayan.

“Sa ekslosibong pakighinabi sa XFM CEBU 88.3 ngadto sa kabanay ni Pari mibutyag matud pa nga si Pari wala kasulti kon aduna ba kini nakaaway o nakalalis sanglit buotan man kini.

Ang Talisay City Police nga nagpadayon sa gihimong imbistigasyon ug tanang anggolo ilang tutukan ug kon unsay posibleng hinungdan sa pagpusil patay kang Pari.”
