The artist, known for hits such as “Sonhos” and “Regra do jogo”, was a prominent figure in the kuduro lamento music scene. Known for his irreverent style, Mano Chaba was considered one of the promising artists of kuduro. A month after its release, the song “Sonhos”, which references several Angolan artists, reached more than 923 thousand views on YouTube and 18 thousand on Spotify.
According to information from witnesses at the scene, the artist was enjoying a moment of leisure on the island of Luanda when the incident occurred. Despite the efforts of the rescue teams, it was not possible to save him.
