According to information, Alicia Barcena, has denied that she attended the LGBTQ wedding of Ionut Marian Valcu and his husband, Martin Alonso Borrego LLorente.
This Tuesday, December 10, Martín Alonso Borrego Llorente , who held the position of Coordinator of Contact with Citizens at the Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources, submitted his resignation, after being implicated in a controversy related to an event held at the National Museum of Art (MUNAL). The controversy arose from a column published in EL UNIVERSAL by journalist Claudio Ochoa Huerta. It was pointed out that Borrego Llorente had taken advantage of an official diplomatic event, intended to commemorate the 89th anniversary of relations between Mexico and Romania, to organize a private wedding. The wedding was allegedly with Ionut Vâlcu, a member of the Romanian embassy in Mexico.
The event included the presence of more than 70 guests, floral arrangements and a banquet, which generated a wave of criticism on social media and questions about the use of a public cultural venue for personal purposes.
The National Museum of Art (MUNAL) is a building of great importance to Mexican culture , located at number 8 Tacuba Street, in the Historic Center of Mexico City. Although it is not part of the UNESCO World Heritage List , this building, owned by the Federal Government , is of great importance to the country.
