Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that San Francisco 49ers will walk out with Green Dot’ by NBA YoungBoy this Sunday for the Super Bowl.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan may be in charge of selecting plays for the San Francisco offense. But wide receiver Deebo Samuel has the esteemed role of selecting the team’s walkout song — a tradition that has been going on for years.
It’s no different for Super Bowl LVIII.
For the big game, the 49ers will be walking out to “Green Dot” by YoungBoy Never Broke Again (NBA YoungBoy), Samuel told reporters in Las Vegas during Super Bowl week.
“We’ve been vibing to “Green Dot” for the past couple weeks by (NBA YoungBoy),” Samuel said.
They’ve entered the field this way for every game since 2017 because Nick Kray, the 49ers’ chief of staff from 2017 to 2022, noticed it had gotten a bit too quiet when heading into the tunnel.
Kray remembered that moment from the middle of the 2017 season. As they exit their Allegiant Stadium locker room on Super Bowl Sunday, the San Francisco 49ers will be rocking out.
A team staffer will lead them on the field while holding a boombox, which belts out tunes.
