Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Emirate petroleum owner, Sesan Adelabu, killed his wife, Bolu Adelabu, with machete after he caught his wife having sex with his Akwa Ibom houseboy on matrimonial bed in Ondo state.
After killing his wife, Adelabu, popularly known as Emirate, the name of his retail outlet, was said to have committed suicide by drinking a poisonous substance, suspected to be an insecticide.
The officer of the Special Protection Unit from the A Division Station in Akure, attached to his residence on Friday evening received a distress call from the deceased’s son who said he had been calling him on phone severally, and he’s not picking the calls.
“The officer attached to the deceased in his house at Alagbaka area in Akure, received a call from the deceased child around 6pm asking after his father, because he was not picking his calls. The policeman, while trying to inform his principal, discovered him faced down and lifeless in the toilet while his wife’s body was found on the bed with multiple cuts suspected to be machete cuts on
her head and face.
“An empty container of an insecticide was also found at the scene. Investigation has commenced to unravel the circumstances leading to the unfortunate incident and scene cordoned off to enable police to do the needful please.”
A news release from the Spokesperson of Ondo State Police Command, SP ‘Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya confirmed the incident.
She noted that the State Commissioner of Police, Abayomi Oladipo, has ordered the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department to take over the case.
According to Omisanya, investigation has commenced to unravel the circumstances leading to the unfortunate incident, adding that the scene has been cordoned off to enable police do the needful.
