An Igbo man from Awkuzu, Anambra State has blamed DNA/Paternity test for destroying the marriage institution.
According to Hugo Abuudo, he wrote in a Facebook post that in Igbo custom, once a child is born by a legally married woman, automatically that child belongs to her husband; hence, no need for DNA test.
“In Igbo custom and culture, every child born by a wife in a marriage automatically belongs to her husband,” Hugo Abuudo wrote.
He continued by saying that most of our fore fathers were not actually the biological children of their fathers but nobody cared about it.
In summary, he is blaming “Civilization and Modern Technology(DNA)” for failures in marriages, especially in Nigeria.
