Nigerian lady, Zainab Aliyu has successfully completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), after a year of being arrested wrongly in Saudi Arabia.
Zainab was arrested in Saudi Arabia during her visit for lesser Hajj in December 2018. She spent a total of 124 days in jail but thanks for the intervention of President Buhari. She was arrested for carrying tramadol, which is highly prohibited in Saudi Arabia but she was released in April 2019.
Zainab is a graduate of Maitama Sule University in Kano State.
Nigerians got reminded about Zainab Aliyu after the CEO of NIDCOM (Nigerians in Diaspora Commission), Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa shared a tweet: “Remember Zainab Aliyu, wrongly jailed in Saudi for carrying drugs she had no knowledge of, and rescued with the intervention of @MBuhari. She just completed her NYSC. We wish Zainab the best as she moves on to great success in life,” Abike tweeted.
