Democratic Party Presidential candidate, Joseph (Joe) Biden has been hailed after picking Senator Kamala Harris as his running mate for the November 2020 Presidential election.
Before Joe Biden picked Senator Kamala Harris, he was advised by 100 Black men from The United States of America to pick a Black person as his running mate.
Taking to his Twitter page, Joe Biden breaks the excellent news of him picking Senator Kamala as his running mate.
“I have the great honor to announce that I’ve picked @KamalaHarris – a fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants – as my running mate,” he
tweeted.
Joe continued again, “Back when Kamala was Attorney General, she worked closely with Beau. U watched as they took on big banks, lifted up working people, and protected women and kids from abuse. I was proud then, and I’m proud now to have her as my partner in this campaign.”
Kamala Harris is a California Senator and a 1981 graduate of Westmount High School near Montreal.
Kamala and Pence (Donald Trump’s running mate) will face each other during the only Vice Presidential debate on October 7 at the University of Uttah.
The 55-year-old has become the First Black woman and first person of an Indian descent to be nominated for national office by a major party and the fourth woman in history to be chosen for one of their presidential tickets – According NY Times.
