After days of denying the Lekki Toll Gate massacre by the State and Federal Government of Nigeria, Governor Sanwo-Olu finally opens up on who ordered the shooting at Lekki Toll Gate.
On October 20, 2020, it was a tragic night for peaceful protesters at Lekki Toll Gate, who got killed by the Nigerian Army. Now, the International network services are interested in the issue.
Yesterday, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu got interviewed by a CNN newscaster, Becky Anderson. During the interview, Gov. Sanwo-Olu finally admitted that it was the Nigerian Army that ordered the shooting at Lekki Toll Gate.
Conversations:
Becky Anderson: “Which brand of troop security service carried out the shootings?”
Gov. Sanwo-Olu: “Well, from the footage that we have seen, because there are cameras that have facilities. It seems to me that they would be the men in the military uniform. It should be the Nigerian Army or something.”
Becky: “So, you’re saying that it was the military officers who ordered peaceful protesters to be shot at Lekki Toll Gate?”
Gov. Sanwo-Olu: “They were there. That’s what the footage shows.”
