Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that De Rossi reaction to Dybala ball control in his first touch.


The incredible form continues since replacing Jose Mourinho on the bench, winning all but one of his Serie A matches in charge and reaching the Europa League Round of 16 after a penalty shoot-out victory over Feyenoord.

The coach did make a few changes from Thursday’s clash, most notably the first starts in his tenure for Chris Smalling and Evan Ndicka, while he also switched to a 3-5-2 formation.

“If, on the other hand, we try to take charge of the game, to be in control, and if when we see an opening we shoot and swoop into the box like vultures, then we’re a very good team.

“We have to work on reading the different moments of the match – when to go for it and when to wait a bit.”

You pointed to Mile Svilar when Paulo Dybala scored the penalty. Was that about where he was going to put it?

“No, sometimes I mess around with the lads on the bench. I asked if he was going to score and he said, ‘Of course he’ll score – it’s Dybala.’ It was just messing around!”

It was Dybala who took the headlines and the match ball home, completing a hat-trick in the 3-2 victory over Torino.

“Champions are decisive in this sport and nobody can doubt that. It was a balanced first half, because Torino cause problems for everyone, and we knew it’d be tough after playing 120 minutes on Thursday.

“We did some good things, scored at the 40th and conceding immediately after that would knock anyone down, but instead we came back well.”
