Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has been booed and called a “Thief” by Lagosians at Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, yesterday. The name calling started when Gov. Sanwo-Olu was leaving the stadium in his expensive cars and huge convoys.
Governor Sanwo-Olu was at Teslim Balogun Stadium yesterday to watch the match between Nigeria and Lesotho, which ended in 1 (Super Eagles) to nil. According to an eyewitness, he says he wasn’t sure if it was Governor Sanwo-Olu that was inside the car.
Another eyewitness says the booing was caused by an individual and others in the crowd joined him in calling the Governor a thief. He wasn’t only called names, empty plastic bottles were thrown at his cars yesterday. The last eyewitness says the booing started after some people weren’t allowed in the stadium. Out of anger, they began to attack the Governor.
