Red Bull have launched an investigation after allegations of inappropriate behaviour were made against Christian Horner, the team principal of the company’s Formula 1 team

Horner denies the allegations and will continue in his role while the investigation continues.

While Christian Horner was preparing to present the RB20, the car with which his team hopes to be the best in the world in 2024 again, the team boss suddenly has to fear for his job. On Friday, the Briton will be questioned by an independent lawyer about possible inappropriate behaviour. If the results of the investigation are not satisfactory for Red Bull, Horner’s end at the team is imminent.

Meanwhile, speculation is rampant. One question is how the story could get into the media in the first place. De Telegraaf was the first to know about it but published only after F1-Insider brought it. Earlier this week, the Daily Mail reported that the Dutch newspaper had been threatened with legal action if published.

The matter with Christian Horner has been going on behind closed doors for a while, as per @ErikvHaren.

Red Bull itself confirmed it to him, and are also the ones who started the investigation, not Red Bull Racing.

Erik says from what he’s heard the accusations are very serious and there allegedly is also proof of said incident.

This is why Red Bull stepped in to start up an official investigation.

Geri arrived in Bahrain from the UK on Thursday – having taken off before the bombshell messages were shared, The Sun understands.

But defiant Horner looked unfazed this afternoon as he stood trackside in Bahrain for a test run ahead of tomorrow’s F1 season opener.

The dad, 50, was pictured with headphones around his neck as he chatted to Max Verstappen at the Bahrain International Circuit.

But he is understood to have left before the end of the practice for a meeting with FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem, Sky F1 correspondent Ted Kravitz reported.
