A Nigerian man by name, Babatunji Ogunjobi, has rejoiced after bagging a first-class in his Master’s Degree in the United States of America, a few years after being called “a mediocre.”

Taking to his social media platform, Babatunji, revealed that 15 years ago, he was denied a student Visa to the USA. He wasn’t only denied a Visa, he was also called “a mediocre” by the consular.

Down the line in 2019, he finally got the student Visa to study for his Master’s in the US. 18 months later, he finally became a graduate with a CGPA of 4.0/4.0 from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

He wrote: “15years ago, I was refused a visa twice to study in the United States. In fact on my second attempt, the consular officer said she was refusing my visa application because I was mediocre. “In 2019, I tried again and got the visa.

“18months,3 scholarships,4 awards later, yesterday I graduated with a Masters of Science in Business Information Systems with distinction (4.0 out of 4.0GPA) from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. “I have also accepted a job offer at Microsoft as a Senior Business Program Manager. “I am not saying I am no longer mediocre but this mediocre doesn’t give up on his dreams. “Thank you to every one who has been part of my journey so far.”
