Nigerian legendary singer, Olanrewaju Fasasi, popularly known as, Sound Sultan, had announced his passing away through his post on Instagram by sharing Patoranking’s song, “Celebrate Me.” (Read More Here).
Taking to his Instagram page on July 3, 2021, Sound Sultan, posted Patoranking’s song, “Celebrate Me”, as he stylishly announced his death by himself through the song by telling his fans to celebrate him now that he’s alive; not when he’s dead.
His last post has garnered over 9K comments. Early this morning, family of Fasasi announced that Sound Sultan had died. He died of angioimmunoblastic T-Cell lymphoma (relating to throat cancer) at the age of 44 years.
Fasasi family wrote:
“It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of multitalented veteran singer, rapper, songwriter Olanrewaju Fasasi, A.K.A,Sound Sultan. He passed away at the age of 44, following a hard fought battle with angioimmunoblastic T-Cell lymphoma. He is survived by his wife, three children and his siblings. We, his family will appreciate the utmost privacy as we come to grips with this tragic loss.
