Nigerian comedian, Ugboma Bovi, has showed off his land use charge letter he received from Lagos state government for his yearly tenement payment. (Read More Here).
Taking to his Instagram story, Bovi, show off his land use charge letter to his fans who think that once you become a landowner in Lagos, you would never pay “rent” anymore.
Landlords and landladies in Lagos pay tenement rent, which is otherwise known as, property tax in the UK, USA, Canada and Australia.
Tenement rent is paid yearly in Lagos or other parts of Nigeria. Some people pay N30K, while some pay N571K.
He wrote: “For those of you say “once I buy house, na bye bye to landlord wahala.” You will always pay rent!”
