A 22-year-old Nigerian driver based in the U.S and identified as Faruq Osilalu has passed on. (Read More Here).
According to reports, Faruq who was based in Baltimore, went missing on September 17. His car was found on September 29. According to his wife, Alayna, her husband’s remains were found behind a vacant house on Paton Avenue in the city on October 4.
She said that he was listed as a John Doe until recently when authorities were able to identify him through his jewelry. In a statement, she noted that his remains were so badly damaged that
investigators could not figure out his fingerprints.
Osilalu said her husband worked as a private contractor under Sedan Service in Baltimore. She reported him missing on Sept. 19, two days after his last known ride. Meanwhile in a tweet on Thursday, Baltimore police announced that Faruq was “no longer missing,” and that the city police department was taking over the investigation. They said they’re waiting for an autopsy to determine how he died.
Meanwhile, Alayna has urged the Baltimore police department to ensure that justice is served on the matter.
