Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that University of Professional Studies, Accra, has debunked the report stating that two female students have been expelled from their hostels after involvement in lesbianism and threesome. (Read More Here).










Taking to his Twitter page this afternoon, popular blogger, Sika Official, reported that two students have been sacked from their hostels for involving in homosexuality and threesome. 


He wrote: “Two Upsa students have been sacked from the school hostel for allegedly engaging in a threesome with a non-resident male.

According to a statement by the school management, the said females fondled each other in acts described as lesbianism.” 


Sika also shared a statement having “UPSA” on the header. The statement reads:


“Engaging in acts of lesbianism is contrary to Section 1.28.11(g) of the Student Handbook of the University of Professional Studies, Accra; 2018 and Schedule G 8.3 (23) of the Statute of the University.”





“They have since been dismissed from UPSA Hostel awaiting further sanctions from Management”. The school therefore urged students to “desist from sexual misconduct and observe all other rules and regulations in the Hostel as well as the Student Handbook. Any student caught infringing any of the regulations will not be spared.”


After the news began to go viral, UPSA, released an official statement, thereby, debunking the report. According to the official statement, it stated that no such case has been reported to the school management or to the Vice Chancellor. 

UPSA management wrote in the statement and it reads:


“Accra – The attention of the Management of the University of the Professional Studies, Accra, has been drawn to media reports with the headline: “Two UPSA students sacked from their hostels.”


“The Vice Chancellor of UPSA is the Chief Disciplinary Officer, and all decisions taken by the Vice Chancellor are communicated through the Registrar 

Any Disciplinary communication that does not follow the above procedure is not authorised by Management and should therefore be disregarded. 





“The University further states that no Disciplinary report on the alleged incident is before Management for final decision. Members of the public are therefore to disregard the story.
