Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that South Africa’s Police Minister, Bheki Cele, has flushed over 20,000 litres of alcohol during festive season ministerial inspection tour. (Read More Here).

According to Bheki, he had accused extreme intake of alcohol to be the major factor that contributes to the increase of crime rate in South Africa. The incident happened on Monday, December 20, 2021, at Western Cape.

Cele on Monday led a festive season ministerial inspection tour of the Western Cape where he helped to destroy 20,000 litres of alcohol at the police’s central liquor storage facility in Belhar.

In the trending video, Bheki Cele, is seen flushing or pouring away and destroying over 20,000 litres of alcoholic contents away in Belhar, Western Cape.

While at the storage facility, Bheki Cele says:

“It’s not much alcohol. Its only 20 000 litres that we will be destroying, which has been put in the market illegally.

We will continue to stop every and anything that is done illegally.

“We have to put our resources together and put all forms of pride and differences aside to protect South Africans and Capetonians.

“I know there is still a problem of gangsterism in this province, Cele said, while urging members to take charge of the safety of women and children above all else. I want to thank you in advance for not having a Christmas to protect the community.

“We’ll have to go and saturate all places, saturate all roads, saturate all streets, saturate all residences. Saturate it to such an extent that there is no way that criminals will be moving around us,” Cele told police officers.

“Squeeze them out, make sure that all criminals are squeezed out and people are living a better life and enjoying the festive season. The purpose of today’s ministerial inspection tour in the WC is our way of seeing to it that resources are deployed where they are most needed.

“This weekend multiple lives has been lost in a number of fatal crashes in a number of provinces.”

As the video began to go viral on social media, South Africans rushed to social media to react. According to South Africans, they said that Bheki Cele should be made the Minister of Alcohol, not the police Minister, since his main focus is on alcohol.

Maybe we should be having Minister of Police separate from Minister of alcohol.

@Hlalele01

Bheki Cele must just be minister of Alcohol.

@Demmi_Godd

Government must set up a department of alcohol – Bheki Cele will be the Minister of Alcohol. Crimes like GBV, human trafficking, murder, rape, carjackings are at alarming rates but you’ll never hear from him. If you want to see his shiny face underneath that hat, mention alcohol.
