According to information, on the 30th of October 2021, an NGO Ibhetshu Likazulu helped villagers, erect a memorial plaque
for victims of the Gukurahundi genocide,
Who were murdered by the Government of Zimbabwe at Bhalagwe.
According to information, the incident happened on 04/01/22.
