Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it a yet-to-be identified South African man and rapist has been caught and arrested while trying to rape a young girl in Rosebank Station yesterday. (Read More Here).
Taking to his Instagram page, a popular GBV Activist, Matthew Mensah, shared a video showing the moment a rapist was put in handcuffs after he was caught trying to rape a young girl in broad daylight.
During interrogation, the rapist says it was his first time trying to rape someone (a female) in South Africa. The rapist is currently in police station as his case will be sent to court.
Matthew Mensah wrote:
“As much as I Love this beautiful country South Africa which is my second home, it can not be denied that there is a huge problem with GBV & Sexual assaults. Yesterday I together with another private citizen & 3 guards by Rosebank Station caught a guy who tried to rape a young girl. Shocking that women can’t even be safe to move around in broad daylight these days.
“The terror in the eyes of the young girl and the way her body literally was trembling in shock will sit with me for a long time & I hope she will be able to recover physically & emotionally.
“Much credit has to go to the SA Police department in Rosebank who were so fast & came with both female & male Police officers. They really comforted the young girl & made sure everything was done at the Police station that you could possibly wish for in such situation.
“There can be no doubt that we need to have a proper change of mind set amongst us men & also a need to focus on educating the boy child on proper behavior towards females and defeat this Pandemic of evil..”
