Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that the former Governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, has been declared National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress. (Read More Here).
Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State made this known at Eagles Square, Abuja, venue of the APC national convention, after an aye-and-nay vote.
Earlier, the party had released its unity list which named the lawmaker as its National Chairman.
Senator Abdullahi Adamu the newly appointed APC National Chairman started politics in 1977 and was a pioneer member of NPN.
2. He was a founding member of the PDP and a two-term governor of Nasarawa, a former Secretary of PDP’s Board of Trustees.
3. He won his Senatorial position with PDP in 2011.
4. Adamu was arrested by the EFCC in February 2010 for allegedly embezzling $100 million of government money meant for public projects but he decamped to APC in 2014.
