Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Manchester United former footballer, Patrice Evra, paid a visit to Oshodi, to learn how to play chess from the talented youngsters in the area.
Taking to his Twitter page, the organiser of the chess game, Tunde, said he grew up supporting Manchester United.
He continued as he said that while growing up, Evra used to be his heroes. Surprisingly, Evra said he (Tunde) is also his hero.
Tunde OD (Chess in Slums) wrote:
“I grew up supporting @ManUtd and today I got to meet one of my heroes @Evra right under oshodi underbridge where he got to learn chess from one of the boys.
“He told me that I was also one of his heroes and this truly means a lot to me.”
