Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that a Zulu man and disc Jockey, Black Coffee, has won his first-ever Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album. (Read More Here).
After winning, Mzansi began to debate if he’s truly a Zulu or Xhosa man. According to the South African culture, a man claims the side of his father.
For this, Black Coffee, is actually a Zulu man. His mother is Xhosa woman, but can’t claim the tribe. Taking to his Twitter page yesterday, Black Coffee added the title in to his bio.
Black Coffee wrote: “Grammy Award Winning Artiste.”

Doesn’t even matter if Coffee is a Zulu or Xhosa. A black man from South Africa won Grammy like Black Mambazo did.

Black Coffee’s father is Zulu. I don’t understand why Xhosa people get high blood pressure when someone says Black Coffee is Zulu … Or in the Xhosa culture a child takes their mother’s tribal identity or ? Because in the Zulu culture you are what your father is.
