Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that the CEO of Quiteria Atelier, Lebohang Kekana Quiteria, has died. (Read More Here).
According to information, he passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022, at his residence in Johannesburg. He died at the age of 38 from myeloma cancer.
Myeloma cancer is a cancer that forms in a type of white blood cell called a plasma cell. His family has released an official statement confirming the death of son.
Lebohang Kekana Quiteria has styled South African celebrities, such as: Mihlali, Natasha Thahane and many others.
Statement from family reads:
“It is with profound regret and sadness that the Kekana family confirms the untimely passing of international fashion designer, son, father and brother Lebohang Quiteria Kekana (38) after a short battle with cancer,” the statement begins to read before the family asks for privacy and thanks the public for support.
“The Kekana family is deeply thankful for all the countless personal messages of love and support received thus far. The details of his memorial and funeral will be confirmed in due course.”
“I had to get 28 tests done plus start going for chemotherapy; mind you, I’ve lost business and my employees and their families depend on me to help out,” he explained.
In an attempt to help cancer survivors, the late designer had partnered with Brut and Blemished Foundation to raise awareness and to raise funds for cancer survivors who couldn’t afford to live a healthier lifestyle.
“I partnered with the Brut and Blemished Foundation on a campaign called Stronger Than Cancer; the campaign seeks to raise awareness on cancer and will not only benefit me, but will also other people who need financial support when it comes to fighting cancer,” he shared.
