Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Five former senior executives at Transnet have been arrested by the Hawks and Investigating Directorate, after handing themselves in at the Brackendowns Police Station on Friday morning.
They will appear before Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court sitting as the Specialised Commercial Crimes Court.
They are charged with contravention of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), fraud, corruption and money laundering.
NPA wrote:
“ID | 5 former senior executives at Transnet have been arrested by the Hawks and ID, after handing themselves in at the Brackendowns Police Station this morning. They will appear before Palm Ridge Magistrates’ Court sitting as the Specialised Commercial Crimes Court.
“They are charged with contravention of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), fraud, corruption and money laundering.
“The accused appearing before court, applying for bail. 5 former Transnet senior executives, including Siyabonga Gama and Eric Wood, arrested and appeared in court this morning. They joined Kuben Moodley on the dock, who was arrested in September 2021.
