No fewer than 35 teenage girls were on Wednesday, June 15, rescued by the police in Anambra State from an hotel where they were allegedly being used as sex slaves. 





It was gathered that five out of the 35 girls were said to be pregnant.


According to the command’s spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the girls were rescued from Gally Gally Hotel in Nkpor town, close to Onitsha, where they were working as commercial sex workers and their earnings paid to their “madam”, who is currently on the run.


However, three suspects, including the assistant manager of the hotel, were arrested during the raid, with three pump action rifles and seven cartridges, recovered.
