A 28-year-old man of Chinese decent has been given a restraining order by the Lusaka Magistrate Court after he allegedly threatened to kill his 34-year-old girlfriend with a knife.
Huang Yawen is alleged to have on May 27th, this threatened Wang Yin by telling her that “I will kill you,” whilist holding a knife.
However, Yawen told court that he did not do what he was being accused of and went on to tell court that he had witnesses to help him prove the same.
Magistrate Sinvula in her ruling ordered the accused not to be in contact with the victim and asked him to restrain himself from being near her until after proceedings had taken place.
“The accused should also vacate the house and should leave it for the victim and their child until proceedings. If he goes against the this, police bond will be revoked,” she said.
