Nigeria’s Labour Party has named Doyin Okupe as the Vice Presidential candidate to the party’s flag bearer Peter Obi, but in a placeholder capacity to beat the Friday deadline set by INEC. (Read More Here).
Doyin Okupe, a medical doctor, hails from Ogun State, South-west Nigeria.
He was a former spokesperson to former President Olusegun Obasanjo as well as a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan.
“I am willing to put down my back, so that young people can stand and come to the top.” – Dr Doyin Okupe says he is ‘standing in’ as the vice presidential candidate of the Labour party.
