In the trending video, the Ekiti state voters were heard saying they won’t sell their votes for ‘soup money’ – in Yoruba, it reads: “A diibo se obe mo.”
In another video, a young man is heard talking about how vote buying has been ongoing by a political party, which he didn’t mention, probably for his safety.
Information reads: “Voters here at Polling Unit 001 in Ado Ekiti saying No to Vote Buying. “A diibo se obe mo” means they won’t trade their votes for money to cook a pot of stew.
