Catholic priest, Fr. Christopher Odia, who is in charge of St. Michael Catholic Church was on his way to Mass when he was abducted in Ikabigbo in Uzairue community, Etsako West LGA of Edo state

Catholic Rev. Father Kidnapped early this morning around Ikabigbo in Uzairue community, Etsako West LGA of Edo state. Fr. Christopher Odia who is in charge of St. Michael Catholic Church was on his way to Mass when he was abducted. 

3 persons among the community members who reinforced to rescue him in the church were also shot by the kidnappers killing one and critically wounding the other two.

The deceased has been identified as Dr. Nuru Umosor.

Combined team of Military, Police and Vigilantes are currently combing the forest to rescue the abducted cleric.
