JAMES NDAMBO REFUSES TO PAY MUM’S MEDICAL FEES BUT CHOSE TO SHOW OFF AT HER GRAVE.

Journalist Theresa Kalenga writes…

I have no apologies to make.I write what I share from an informed perspective of life.

While 99.9% [PF cadres] are making standing ovations towards a Zambian turned South African citizen and business tycoon,I elect to hold very strong reservations towards its founder.

My mother was an affiliate and fully paid up member of the so called ‘My Home Town’ a non governmental organisation (NGO) .

In the year 2010,my mother needed urgent medical attention to India but as a family,we could only do so much and in my hopes and aspirations ,I thought atleast my late mother’s consistent and up- to-date annual subscriptions were sufficient enough to warrant a proactive measure on the part of the NGO she belonged to as a member.

She died,unfortunately.

The money and logistical support that was unnecesarily delayed for her specialist treatment is the same money that was suddenly availed for her funeral and subsequent body repatriation and burial six feet into the ground.

The irony of this so called Non Governmental Organisation is that when it come to matters of health of my biological mother there was so much red tape and unusual beauracratic processes to facilitate my mother’s eventual evacuation.

My mother endured pain and frustration and died a painful death in a foreign land.

Now,am I suggesting my mother would have survived breast cancer?chances are, yes, her chances of survival were high had the purported help in the form of prompt availability of funds been present to expedite the travelling arrangements.

In a sudden twist of circumstances, when the same NGO decides to host a function of entertainment in nature, the processes of facilitating monies ,huge sums of money to host a beauty pageant in Choma district is undertaken with a semblance of speed -meaning matters of social events are automatically given preference over one’s health as the case of my dear mother.
