Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Deputy Mother, Mamokgethi Phaken, has reacted to cancel culture. (Read More Here).

Yesterday, a few angry youths of South Africa began to spread fake rumours about Mamokgethi Phakeng being on Podcast and Chill with MacG and she was dragged heavily.

After being dragged, she quickly rushed to social media to address the fake news. According to her, she said she hasn’t done any interview yet with MacG, but actually did one with David Mashabela.

She said the cancel culture won’t make her say something nasty to the youths as she would always support them.

Mamokgethi Phakeng wrote: “For the record: I didn’t do an interview on @podcastwithmacg but I did one with @DavidMashabela & took pics in the studio that they use. Assumptions! Are you also disgusted at John Kani who got interviewed on #PodcastAndChill

@Solphendukaa & @MacGUnleashed you get SA talking! We need to address this toxic cancel culture – it is utterly destructive and shatters the aspirations of many young people! You can’t tell me you can cancel another person in good faith; it takes utter depravity to demand the fall of a young person trying to make it out there.

“No one is born woke, young people are bound to err! If you mean well, EDUCATE instead of cancelling! Everyone makes mistakes – even the cancel brigade! It is part of life and growth. Just because your mistakes are not public does not mean you don’t make them.

“@MacGUnleashed and @Solphendukaa have the best interviews ever done in this country! They employ many young people and inspire even more! You expect me to overlook all the positive things and cancel them just because Twitter says so? Count me out, I will not be party to that.

“No amount of insults and bullying will force me to hate on young people trying to make a difference and disrupting the status quo. I’d rather educate them 10 times – they are very open and willing to learn! If this makes me a villain, SO BE IT.

“Name-calling does not faze me, I’ve been around. I will continue supporting young local people. If you want to cancel them – do so. However, don’t regulate how others interact with them! Let’s uplift each other! Blowing another person’s candle will never make yours shine brighter.”
