Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that a video of Mike Ogiasa, the former Bayelsa State Commissioner and relative of former president, Goodluck Jonathan, pleading for his life from the den of his abductors.
The Spokesman of the Bayelsa Police Command, Asinim Butswat, who confirmed the authenticity of the video, said the heads of security agencies have met on Friday night to brainstorm on new strategies to ensure he is rescued unhurt.
According to Butswat, the police wants to assure the general public and families of the victim of their commitment to secure his safe release from kidnappers den.
Ogiasa had been kidnapped early June from his hometown, Otuabadi in Ogbia Local Government Area of the state.
The victim spoke from inside a flooded grave, half naked with a sack over his head for some parts of the video.
Begging for his life, Ogiasa said, “Is the money more important than my life? You’re seeing me in the grave. Please do everything to come and release me.”
Jonathan wrote: “Congratulations to the Muslim Ummah on this year’s Eid-El-Kabir. I call on all Muslim faithful to prioritize the virtues of sacrifice, tolerance and love which this moment signifies. (Read More Here).
