Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that 14 people have been shot dead at a tavern in Soweto in the early hours of this morning. The 14th victim passed away in hospital. Police are combing the scene of incident in Orlando. Lieutenant General Elias Mawela explains.
“Yes I can confirm that incident did happen and it happened around 12:30am this morning,” Gauteng Police Commissioner Elias Mawela said.
“Primary investigations suggest the people were enjoying themselves in the tavern.
“They just came in and shot at them randomly,” Mawela said.
Mawela said detectives are on the scene.
“The age range is just an estimation from my detectives to say they are between 19 and 35 years.””Yes I can confirm that incident did happen and it happened around 12:30am this morning,” Gauteng Police Commissioner Elias Mawela said.

“They just came in and shot at them randomly,” Mawela said. Provincial police commissioner Elias Mawela said it is a bad scene.
“I have no doubt in my mind that with the cooperation of the community here giving us the information, we will be able to crack this case,” he said.
