An unidentified Kafue man who wanted to imitate Jesus by walking on the Kafue river has died after drowning in the river.
Impeccable sources have told Kafue Times that the incident which happened on Friday, 8th July 2022 around 13:00 hour involved a man who is suspected to be of unsound mind.
Police have since Instituted a search for the unidentified man who is believed to be between 30 and 40 years old.
The deceased was seen removing clothes before he embarked on walking on the Kafue river which cost his life.
Eye witnesses told Kafue Times that they tried to scream as they saw him embark on his journey on the Kafue river but their plea fell on deaf ears until he drowned.
Efforts to get a comment from Kafue Police Officer In-Charge Jason Lungu proved futile by press time as he was reportedly unreachable on his mobile phone by press time.
