Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Samina Baig has become the first Pakistani woman to summit K2. She was part of a seven-member Pakistani team. (Read More Here).
Earlier Baig summited Mount Everest (World’s highest peak) as well. Samina and the team scaled the world’s second mountain K2 at 7:42am.
United Embassy in Pakistan has congratulated Baig for her latest achievement and success.
The message reads: “Congratulations to #SaminaBaig and #NailaKiani, the first two #Pakistani women to successfully summit the world’s second highest peak, K2. A momentous day and achievement for Pakistani women!”
A Pakistani wrote: “Making Pakistan proud!
#SaminaBaig who holds the International record for scaling 7 Summits in 7 continents has conquered #K2
