Authorities say 24-year-old Breana Johnson is expected to face a murder charge after she allegedly sprayed gasoline into her backseat, where her boyfriend Ricky Doyle was sitting, and lit it on fire.
The incident took place on July 18 after the couple stopped at a gas station around 9 p.m.. Witnesses reportedly overheard the couple arguing and the woman saying, “I’m going to kill you,” before she entered the gas station to buy $0.50 worth of gas.
Witnesses say that Breana returned to her car, poured gasoline over Ricky, walked around to the driver’s seat, and set him on fire in what had seemed like a premeditated and thought out attack.
Breana was taken into custody that same day and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. However, her charge will be upgraded to murder. She is currently being held in the Tarrant County Jail on a $50,000 bond
