The woman who caused the fatal LA car crash that claimed the lives of 6 people has been taken into police custody. Nicole L. Linton is being held in Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California on a $9 million bond.
Linton is expected to be charged soon by the Los Angeles County District Attorney at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center sometime today. She was taken into police custody for vehicle manslaughter after she crashed into 5 vehicles while driving as fast as 100ph. She is suspected to have been under the influence during the devastating crash that took the lives of an entire family.
Asherey Ryan, who was 8 months pregnant, was pronounced dead at the scene alongside her one-year-old child, Alonzo Luchiano Quintero, and her unborn baby. Her child’s father, Renald, also died at the scene.
Linton is cooperating with investigators checking her bloodwork to see if she was under the influence when the fatal collision took place. A woman who identified herself as Linton’s friend, said she was “drunk” at the time of the accident and “fighting with her boyfriend” before she got in her car and smashed into a traffic jam.
Authorities will continue to investigate the situation and charge Linton accordingly.
