A woman died after she was impaled by a beach umbrella in South Carolina Wednesday afternoon.
According to WBTW, the tragic accident happened around 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday at a Garden City beach. Winds were picking up and it carried an umbrella.
It ended up hitting and impaling Tammy Perreault, 63, was struck and then impaled by the umbrella.
She was taken to a local hospital but passed after 1:30 p.m. The umbrella wasn’t hers.
