The Florida officers who arrested #KodakBlack back in July for allegedly trafficking oxycodone, still have his vehicle and nearly $75k in cash in their possession. And now the rapper is taking steps to have his items returned.
According to documents obtained by @tmz_tv, Kodak is asking the court to make the Florida Highway Patrol officers who arrested him return the Dodge Durango and $74,960 in cash that was seized during his arrest.
Kodak’s lawyer, #BradfordCohen, claims that there is no legal basis for the police to continue to keep Kodak’s car since he already turned over the prescriptions for the pills found in the vehicle. He goes on to explain that Kodak is often paid in cash for jobs and carries large sums of money on him for various tour expenses, hence the nearly $75k
