A toddler unknowingly
Discovered a missing woman while he played in his backyard with his mother!
According to Fox 5, Nina Lipscomb had gone missing from a relative’s house a few days before the discovery. It was around 2 a.m. when she wandered off, so her family didn’t realize she was gone until hours later. Her daughter says she went looking for her sister, who had died months prior. There were search parties active in search of Lipscomb, who suffers from dementia, but none successful. It wasn’t until a few days later, a toddler unknowingly cracked the case.
Brittany Moore and her 1 1/2 son, Ethan, were outside playing in their backyard when little Ethan wandered to the back fence. There, his mom said he said “feet!”, in which she was able to see Lipscomb sitting on the ground near a tree.
“If you get on his level and look through, you can see some of the broken sticks and that’s where she was laying,” she said to CBS46 News. “I didn’t know if I needed to go into fight or flight because I had my little boy out here and the other inside.”
Once they made the discovery, they called the police and Lipscomb was able to be reunited with her family. Her family says they’re extremely grateful for Ethan and Brittany finding their loved one.
“We pulled out every resource we thought we needed,” Nina’s daughter, Karen Lipscomb, told WGLC-TV, adding that at the end of the day, “it was a little boy” who saved the day.
