Reactions from Muslim community in Canada:
Faizal: A Muslim NHL player took the Stanley Cup to a mosque in his hometown. It’s one of the most beautiful hockey scenes I’ve ever seen. Growing up playing, it felt impossible to visualize a moment like this and Nazem Kadri made it happen. A cultural moment in a sport that lacks them.
Mihlali: Nazem Kadri brought the Stanley Cup to a mosque in London, Ontario today a little over a year after a Muslim family was killed in a hate attack in the same city.
A truly extraordinary moment for the sport & the country.
