Shocking surveillance footage has now been released showing the moment a California principal violently shoved an 11-year-old student with autism. Now, the principal has since resigned from his post, but is now being charged.

Brian Vollhardt was the principal at Fresno’s Wolters Elementary School. On June 7, he was accused of getting into an altercation with an 11-year-old special needs student. He claimed the student attacked him, but new surveillance footage shows the exact opposite.

Vollhardt, who has a specialized certification for handling students with autism, ended up resigning and then took up a job as Vice Principal at Tranquility High School shortly after the incident. After catching wind of his new charges of child abuse and endangerment, the second school has now placed him on administrative leave as of Thursday (Sept. 8).
