The state Commissioner for Education, Aliyu Tilde, last week announced plans by the state government to separate male and female students in secondary schools.
He added that the decision is aimed at addressing the moral decay which has become prevalent among students of secondary schools, and according to him, private schools are expected to key into the initiative and separate the males who would be attending their academic activities in one institution and the females in a separate institution.
The students resumed school today and took to the streets to express their disapproval.
