It is reported that on Friday (October 13) around 3 a.m., a man slammed his Dodge Challenger into Sauce Buckhead, an upscale pizza bar and lounge. One of the owners of the restaurant, Yaw Botchey, released a statement and video footage on his social media. Included was bystander footage of the man getting out of his car and retrieving items from his trunk before fleeing the scene.
Botchey explained that he and his team are deeply saddened about the incident, especially due to the significant damage to their newly installed patio dining area. While they are grateful no one was injured, they are worried about the financial stress on their staff members as they have to close the area for repairs. The owner confirms the business will still be open through the holiday season, and they appreciate any support they can get.
