A Massachusetts woman is facing multiple assault and battery charges after allegedly unleashing a swarm of bees on a group of cops that were serving an eviction!
It is reported that on the morning of Wednesday, October 12, 55-year-old Rorie S. Woods was confronted by several sheriff’s deputies from the Hampden County Sheriff’s Department.
They arrived to a home in Longmeadow trying to serve an eviction notice to protesters. It is reported that the people have been gathering on-and-off for two years, trying to prevent the eviction of Alton King Jr from his $1.5 million home. Woods, who lives in Hadley, arrived to the home around 9:15 a.m. in a SUV, towing a trailer of bee hives. Wearing a beekeepers’ suit, Woods hopped out, shook the hives, broke the cover off one and released hundreds of swarms on the deputies.
Unfortunately, several of them were allergic and were stung. Other bystanders were stung as well. Woods was eventually handcuffed, arrested and charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, three counts of assault by means of a dangerous weapon and a disorderly conduct charge.
